What are the seller's claims? Have they done any attempts at authenticating it? Where did they get it?

Someone could have been inspired by this van Gogh:

In his Dutch paintings he uses relatively little paint. That thickly applied paint is seen on his Provence paintings.

@aaroncab : I didn't ask if hi already authenticated it because I don 't want to make him more clever. He doesn't sell it as a Van Gogh. Only as farmhouse... Hi price is also not Van Gogh. He asks about 200 euro....

Maybe an Otto Wacker piece has value on it's one...?

Not nearly as much as the one you posted.
I think he knows it is not a van Gogh.;)
It looks like a very nice painting from the first half of the 20th century, possibly slightly later, but not much.

I live near Nuenen, and many painters here in eastern Dutch Brabant used to paint in this style. I wouldn't be surprised if some Belgian painters did too.
The whitewashed walls remind me more of Flanders than Dutch Brabant, although the thatched roofs are seen more around here.
Maybe a latecomer to the Latemse School? Or another Belgian School?

Check prices of similar paintings. If you like this one, and think it is worth the asking price, why not buy it. It has quality.
