Nice score Greg, sorry you fell, take care of yourself.
Your tea cup and saucer look similar to one I have here. Maybe not the same exactly tho.

I may be interested in one Niagara spoon.
I'd love the pond boat for I used to sail them in Lincoln Park in Jersey City, NJ and Central Park in NYC. :)
Those were great days indeed. :)

    Hi,
Thanks to all. The pain is getting worse I think due to the 90+ heat outside. My AC still has it's winter wrap on. With the windows open temp today at 3PM was 73 degrees inside the house. I hear all of my neighbors machines whirring away. The outside temp was 93 degrees. My house is always 15 to 20 degrees cooler. It is a shame they do not know about cross ventilation. However when the wind is not blowing my AC comes on.

UGH. It was hot here too; it's 7:30 at night and the thermometer still says 80. The house is about 75. No A/C yet.

If I was to ever build a house I would have at least 100' of large ducting buried at least 2' underground. :)

    Hi,
My old house in Middlesex county was crazy. There were huge windows on every wall. No place to hang pictures but the cross ventilation was wonderful. It was the only house I had in years that did not use AC, not once in 10 years. The staircase in the corner was the only place to hang paintings boy were there a lot. It scared people with everyone looking down at them.:rolleyes::rolleyes:. Here is pretty good, I have the woods in the back which generates the cooling breeze and the water breezes are cooling also. My neighbors all shut up their houses and then bitch about the cost of cooling. They pay between 200 and 400 month. They freak out my bill is 30 to 40 dollars. I keep telling them OPEN your windows!!!!!

...verrry few hurricanes in Southern California ...yay! All my memories of being at his house in summer have a green tint to them...hanging out in the cool dense shade of fruitless mulberry trees!

We're the same way here, our house was built before ac, it's situated to maximize the cross breeze, and (thanks to Grampas wisdom) we planted deciduous sycamores on both sides of the house 30 years ago. We also super insulated when we rebuilt. We only use our ac about a tenth of the time our neighbors do. Open the windows after the sun goes down and close them before it starts heating up in the morning! Easy peasy ;)
