I did think of tweaking the photo of the address so I could read it (too faint for my old eyes, except for Mademoiselle and Calvados :playful:), but I didn't feel up to it at the time. When Debora read Saint-Pierre-sur-Dives, and when fid posted the card of the pensionnat, I realized those were the missing words of the puzzle.:)

The only thing we can still wonder about, is which of the pensionnats it is. Or if they are one and the same, with different owners at different periods of time.

I made the mistake of saying FROM when I knew it was addressed TO...sorry for the error.

So if I understand this correctly, you meant the person who received the card was sending love from boarding school and commenting on the beautiful photo of the girls?

No, AJ, I think that someone named Isabella sent a fond greeting to someone in a boarding school. Like you, I misread a few words, and like others, I made a mistake. I did not misinform Peggy with WILD thoughts and send her to unrelated links...I just was talking to her about the card and tried to give some idea of what I thought it could be saying until you or kyra came along to translate. The saying FROM instead of TO was just a mistake.

I did not misread a few words, I couldn't read them at all. Please don't twist my words, I notice it, and don't appreciate it.

flipper, your idea of logic is driving me to drink, where is that bottle of Calvados.:wacky:

Okay...it is obvious that NOTHING I say will stop the nonsense.
Drink up if you must. Cluttered, please don't have a heart attack on my account.
I will continue to enjoy myself and help people, and have silly conversations regardless of the comments...warts and all.
Please stay well both of you and I hope this too shall pass.

That was an unnecessary comment and rather disrespectful.
