Featured What sport are my Okimono father and son wanting to play?

Most Japanese, like most East Asians, are lactose intolerant. Following the Western fashion of consuming dairy products will lead to a lot of problems. Been there, done that.

A mochi hammer is TWO pieces of solid wood....and to me it looks like the boy is holding the thick one & over the shoulder the father has the long one....
I can only surmise that at some point they will be put together to do some pounding .......

I'm just trying to make sense of the carving , & I'm in no way a Japanese expert.....so if you see something else going on.......please bring it to our attention .........
