I assume it’s a type of enamel. Applied in little drops I guess? At first glance I thought it was little shards of gemstones. Is there a proper way to describe this technique? -

Reminds me a bit of Tohono O'odham (Papago) baskets but seems of finer, softer materials. Found one on Etsy listed as sweetgrass but doesn't look as such to me. Any ideas? 5 1/2" dia. x 4" tall. -
