I bought a piece of pottery today. I bought it because I like it and don't know the mark on it. Just strange enough to intrigue me. I paid $10 for it. Does anybody recognize it?

Hand Painted Porcelain Hinged Jar
Looking for origin of this jar. Stands 2 3/4" tall, Bottom part measures 3" across when open, the top measures 3" across as well. 1 1/2" deep. No makers marks. Metal is non magnetic. -
