Weiman table need help

Hello does anyone know about what year this table was manufactured and value saw it at estate sale didn't have money at the time to buy it then a week later saw it out for garbage man

 

Roughly 1940's. The leather top is classic. You'll have to look at sold listings to get an idea of what they sell for.

Is there anything wrong with it that would justify throwing it away?

 

No great condition this table does not have leather top it's wood number under table 856-c70 can't read last number from my pic not at home right now thank you for responding

 

if that's not a leather top...what is the gold leaf design stuck on to..??

40s mahogany drum table for sure. Hard sell these days unless cheap enough (or painted ).

Basically, any Weiman table made in ROCKFORD was made between 1935 & sometime around 1970.

Weiman Furniture Co. was in business in Rockford, Illinois, after moving there from Chicago ca.1935. They built a new plant in Rockford ca.1940 & remained there until the late 1960's. The company became a division of Bassett Furniture Industries, Inc. in 1979.

No it's not a leather top can't find any like it online search for days it has a gold design on it the top is solid wood

 

Donna, I have owned a set of 3 side tables of this same style (don't have them any more so cannot post a picture,) although not made by Weiman. All 3 had leather covering some portion of the top surface - this same color as seen on your table. I would really appreciate seeing a closeup view so I can understand why you say yours is not leather, but rather wood. I have never seen one that is wood, but am willing to be convinced.

I see lots of drum tables offered at auction, although perhaps not by this particular manufacturer. They rarely top $50 from what I've seen.

I'm with the others, leather top.

Maybe you should just look for leather top drum tables?
