Buffalo? Horn carving
Hello
Please help me ID this bird carving, it's a step up from the usual horn pieces I see, and mounted on a nice wooden base.
Probably buffalo horn, but I'm not certain. 19cm tall.

Is this small oil lamp really from the 1890s?
Found this little oil lamp and when trying to find out more about it I came across an auction listing with an identical lamp that claims its from the 1890s. Is there a way to tell?
