Jacobean or art deco armchair? need some help

I recently purchased a beautiful old armchair and i have no idea where it originates or what style/era it belongs to.

Found 4 watercolors(?) of oriental characters all signed Ling - does anyone know of this artist?
I found these at a thrift store today; they are - I believe - watercolors, but are behind glass so I can't be 100% sure.
And they are all signed Ling.
They are very detailed and almost..comedic?... -
Native American Saddle Blanket ID
