I realize, at best we're looking at a vintage tourist trade totem. But can anyone identify the symbols & any indication as to local ? 31x10 inches, carved/painted wood. -

I don't normally go for marcasite, but this is SPARKLY.
Full English hallmarks but also other odd marks, a sort of Maltese cross. Hm. -
