    A quick daguerreotype restoration, Lady in a Bonnet!

    Bought this on ebay and could barely even see the photo the glass had deteriorated so bad. Turned out amazingly! Took all about 5 minutes as well.

    I found this book written by Ilse Herlinger in 1929 today - Mendel Rosenbusch: Tales for Jewish Children.
    She and her son were eventually killed at Auschwitz.
    I have not found a copy of this book...

    It's marked German silver, so that's one question down. I'd almost think it was a snuff, but the lid has an original mirror. It was made for the 100th anniversary of Washington Market in London....
